A little bit of history
Real, in the jargon of ancient travellers, the places where they spent the night during their journeys, either for one night, rest or camping for a few days or even seasons, those places where they recharged their energy to continue their journey, were called "Reales or Rial." Nowadays, some of those same places are cities or towns, and others are preserved as they were thousands of years ago. In the Paso Pehuenche, our camp is one of these places. It is the Real from where the first steps are taken in that ephemeral but perpetual experience in our heads; and the ideal operational base from where countless mountain adventures will begin.
The camp consists of 5 geodesic domes, a style of construction that has minimal impact on the environment. The domes are mounted on platforms 120 cm above the ground, allowing the vegetation to keep on growing normally. Their shape and structure make them capable of withstanding any inclement mountain weather well. Each tent is equipped in a practical and rustic way, creating comfortable environments with unforgettable views.
